Enough Advice for Managers. How about Employees?

So much advice targets leaders and managers, but I bet many on here on LinkedIn have not yet reached this level yet. So what advice can I offer to employees who aspire to be leaders? What I appreciate are employees who have a good attitude, dedication and commitment. Sure, you have to have minimum skills to do the job, but a self-starter is worth his/her weight in gold. And, the most important variable is showing this positive attitude when it is needed the most - during times of crisis, picking up the slack when others forget, and going above and beyond one\'s duty to deliver results (without being watched!).
