Stepping Back and Thinking

Don\'t underestimate the importance of stepping back to think before moving forward. Too often impulsive behavior trumps pausing and thinking. So we end up \"go, go, go\" to reach our goals. The problem is: What if we are headed in the wrong direction? More action only means we will reach the wrong place faster! You\'d be surprised how many companies are experiencing this today. They are moving fast in the wrong direction. Occasionally, it is vital for leaders to step back, listen and re-group. It\'s better to proceed slowly in the right direction than to race toward the wrong destination.
