The Scourge of the Micromanager
With so much attention focused on AI, management development has suffered. Moreover learning soft skills and leadership skills remotely isn\'t enough. That is like trying to put out a blazing fire with a squirt gun. It simply doesn\'t work well enough. Yet, as long as human beings are working together, the need for good management is here to stay. The trouble is we are not spending quality time developing the required soft skills. Micromanagement is one of the biggest culprits. It reduces a leader\'s ability to leverage and develop talent, execute quickly and lead strategically. To reap the full benefits of AI, we must ensure our people are also working productively. Otherwise, all the benefits of AI will be squandered.
