AI will swallow up most consulting jobs, but the one job it won\'t be able to affect is an organization change practitioner. Organization change practitioners are those who help organizations and their leaders implement change. They are responsible for helping to motivate people to see, accept and sustain desired change over time. The reason they are so valuable, is unlike change consultants who work on the symptoms of change with change management tools, frameworks and processes. Organization change practitioners cut to the heart of change and influence people directly. They build commitment to change, rather than compliance. This is an area where AI has very little capability, because AI cannot read and understand individuals and circumstances easily. That makes connecting and building trust difficult. Yet for organizations to create and sustain change, it is all about trust and commitment. Change happens from within, or not at all. A capable organization change practitioner knows how to make this happen.
