The Tragedy of Confusing Fantasy with Reality
I write often about the dangers of excessive social media because they are so real and becoming more pervasive. I see more and more people today spending too much time on social media, particularly teenagers and young adults. The problem is that they are supplanting their real world lives with social media fantasyland. It is addicting and it is harmful. One day, you wake up and discover your social media experience is temporary and you have not built a meaningful real life to fall back on. That is a nasty wake up call.
