Why Children Risk Failing as Adults
In today\'s ever-changing world, the important skills are critical thinking and problem solving. Yet our education systems here in Asia generally focus on memorization and following rules. We need to balance this out. Otherwise, our kids will fail as adults in tomorrow\'s world. I see this shortcoming all the time in my workshops with big companies. Adult participants are pretty good at following rules, but less capable at identifying issues and solutions that take into account the whole problem. If people and organizations are to succeed in the future, we can no longer overlook developing these skills throughout a person\'s lifetime.
