The Elusive Search for One's Identity

Social media is a wonderful tool to connect with others and express yourself - if you already have a healthy sense of self and know who you are. If you do not, there is a risk you use social media to become popular or become someone that you are not, rather than being yourself and building on what makes you special. Using social media for the wrong purpose can undermine self confidence and the search for oneself. You end up scrambling around trying to please everyone and being popular, instead of following your own path in life. This is not the way for anyone to live.
