What Happens When We Ignore Mutual Respect?

These days you look around the world and there seems to be a lack of mutual respect. This tears people and organizations apart, because it undermines trust and the will to work together. Yet we so often overlook the importance of building mutual respect until it is too late - until our teams don\'t perform or people leave. I think part of the reason mutual respect is suffering is because we spend too much time on individual excellence and self-expression. Nothing wrong with that, unless you overdo it at the expense of building mutual respect. Since COVID, all the attention has been focused on technology and expediency at the expense of people and relationship development. I think for businesses to reap the benefits of AI and thrive, they will have to invest in people again. We cannot overlook strong mutual respect and trust and expect to continue to succeed.
