Why Management Consulting Fails
Management consultants can develop outstanding reports that are academically sound, robust and sophisticated. The trouble is, no one understands how to implement them. Moreover, because people are not involved enough in developing the reports & recommendations, there is no commitment. People have not been able to ask and learn, \"what\'s in it for me?\" Finally, recommendations often involve changes in the way people work that are very difficult to understand. If people do not know how to change, they won\'t. That is why any management consulting report project to include a very clear and comprehensive change management roadmap that takes into consideration those responsible for implementation. If not, the time, money and effort one puts into a consulting project is all for naught.
